About the Programme

The Limpopo Department of Education is offering 120 Learner Support Agent (LSA) opportunities for unemployed youth across the province.

This initiative forms part of the department’s mission to provide valuable work experience for young people while improving learner support and school administration. Successful applicants will be placed in local schools and education circuits, gaining practical experience in education, administration, and community service.

The programme runs from November 2025 to April 2026, and all selected candidates will be appointed on a fixed-term contract with a monthly stipend of R4,000.


Key Responsibilities

Learner Support Agents will play an important role in assisting schools and educators with:

  • Supporting teachers with classroom activities and learner engagement.
  • Assisting with school administration, including filing, record keeping, and exam preparation.
  • Helping school management teams with learner events and academic projects.
  • Improving communication between learners, teachers, and parents.
  • Performing other reasonable tasks as assigned by the school principal or circuit supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must:

  • Be South African citizens with valid ID documents.
  • Reside within the Limpopo province, preferably close to the school or circuit of application.
  • Hold a Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
  • Be between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be willing to work under supervision and support educators effectively.

Placement Information

The 120 posts are distributed across schools and education circuits throughout Limpopo, including areas such as Nkowankowa, Giyani, Letaba, Lebopo, Mutale, Mamaila, Lulekani, Namakgale, and more.
