Programme Overview
Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) is offering an 18-month Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme for non-technical students and recent graduates. This programme is designed to provide structured workplace exposure, allowing participants to apply their academic knowledge in a professional environment.
The WIL programme focuses on building employability through hands-on experience, mentorship, training sessions, and exposure to real business operations within the Planning department.
Key Responsibilities
Task Execution
- Assist with departmental projects and operational activities
- Perform routine tasks under supervision
- Support administrative duties, documentation, and reporting
Learning and Development
- Attend training sessions and workshops
- Receive mentorship and shadow experienced professionals
- Participate in problem-solving and analytical activities
Communication and Collaboration
- Engage with internal teams, suppliers, and customers
- Provide updates on assigned work and project progress
- Act as a support contact for queries where required
Compliance and Safety
- Follow company policies and safety procedures
- Maintain ethical and professional standards
- Handle information with confidentiality
Research and Analysis
- Conduct data collection and research
- Assist with reporting and presentations using MS Office
- Support process improvement initiatives
Minimum Requirements
- Matric certificate or equivalent
- N6 qualification in Transport & Logistics or Business Management
- South African citizen
- Aged between 18 and 35 years
- No bursary obligation with another organisation
- Must provide certified copies of:

- South African ID
- TVET College experiential learning letter
