Power Construction, a well-established group in South Africa’s construction and building industry, is offering a civil engineering bursary opportunity for students currently studying towards a BSc or BEng in Civil Engineering.
This bursary is aimed at students who are serious about building a long-term career in civil construction and are willing to commit to practical industry experience after completing their studies.
About the Bursary Opportunity
The Power Construction bursary supports civil engineering students who show strong academic ability, leadership potential, and a genuine interest in the construction sector.
Successful applicants will be required to sign a bursary agreement and work for Power Construction for an agreed period after completing their qualification.
Who Can Apply?
You may apply if you meet the following minimum requirements:
- Currently studying towards a BSc or BEng in Civil Engineering
- Registered at a recognised and accredited institution
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in civil construction
- High problem-solving ability
- Advanced computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Demonstrated leadership potential
- Willingness to work and travel to outlying or remote areas when required

- Valid Code 08 driver’s licence
- Ability to speak an additional South African official language
