Peermont’s Education Trust is offering bursary opportunities for the 2026 academic year. These bursaries are open to students living within the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan area who are pursuing undergraduate studies in any field (except Medicine) at accredited tertiary institutions in Gauteng.

What the Bursary Covers

  • Registration fees
  • Tuition fees
  • Prescribed books and study materials
  • Accommodation

Bursaries are awarded based on:

  1. Strong academic performance
  2. Proven financial need (household income will be assessed)

The bursary is renewable annually, contingent upon academic performance.


Who Can Apply?

Applicants must meet these minimum requirements:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Permanently live within the Ekurhuleni metropolitan area (Gauteng)
  • Be studying or planning to study full-time towards an undergraduate qualification (any field except Medicine)
  • Be accepted or registered at a Gauteng-based tertiary institution
  • Study programme must be at least 1 year long

Required Documents

Make sure you include the following with your application (missing items may lead to disqualification):

  • Certified copy of your ID
  • If currently in Matric: Grade 11 results and June 2025 results (submit final Matric results when available)
  • If completed Matric: Matric/NSC results
  • If studying: full academic record with latest results
  • Proof of residence in Ekurhuleni (e.g., utilities account)
  • Parents/guardians’ proof of income:
    • Salary/wage slips if employed
    • Affidavit if unemployed
    • Affidavit stating income if self-employed
    • Death certificates if parents/guardians are deceased
