Programme Overview
The National Treasury Chartered Accountants Academy offers a three-year full-time CA(SA) training contract aimed at developing future Chartered Accountants for the public sector.
This programme focuses on building both technical accounting competence and Professional Values, Attitudes and Acumen (PVAA) in line with SAICA requirements. Trainees will gain exposure to public sector financial management, policy development, and reform initiatives that directly impact service delivery and economic transformation.
Participants will be placed in various National Treasury units, where structured learning areas and practical experience will support their journey toward qualifying as Chartered Accountants.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- A Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA) or an equivalent qualification
- The qualification must meet SAICA requirements to write the Initial Assessment of Competence (IAC)
