About the Programme
The Motus Apprenticeship runs over three years and combines:
- Classroom learning (theory)
- Practical workshops
- On-the-job training in real workshop environments
This blended approach ensures that learners not only understand how automotive systems work but also gain the technical ability to diagnose and repair vehicles.
Apprenticeship Trades Available
Learners can apply for apprenticeships in these areas:
- Motor Mechanic – Repair and maintenance of petrol-powered vehicles.
- Diesel Mechanic – Heavy-duty diesel engines and machinery.
- Automotive Electrician – Vehicle electrical systems, wiring, and diagnostics.

What You’ll Be Doing
As part of the apprenticeship, learners will:
- Assist qualified technicians with vehicle repairs and servicing.

Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must have:
- Grade 10 or Grade 12 with Pure Mathematics and Physical Science/Physics (or an equivalent technical qualification).
