About the Opportunity
The Limpopo Department of Health is offering a chance for passionate young South Africans to study towards a Diploma in Nursing (General) for the 2026 academic year.
This programme is ideal for those who want to make a difference in their communities through healthcare. Training will take place at the Limpopo College of Nursing, which has campuses in:
- Giyani
- Sovenga
- Thohoyandou
- Sekhukhune
Upon completing the three-year course, students will receive a Diploma in General Nursing, which enables them to register with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a professional nurse.
Minimum Entry Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A Senior Certificate (Matric with exemption) or a National Senior Certificate (Bachelor’s Pass)
- At least 24 points (excluding Life Orientation)
Required Subjects
- English: Level 4 or higher
- Life Sciences / Biology: Level 4 or higher
- Physical Sciences: Level 4 or higher
- Mathematics: Level 4 or higher
- Mathematical Literacy: Level 5 or higher
You must also be a South African citizen.
