About the Programme
The Trainee Development Programme aims to train and prepare participants for future roles at the Platreef Mine. Over a 90-day training period, you’ll receive structured, practical, and on-the-job training designed to help you understand the basics of underground mining operations.
While permanent employment isn’t guaranteed, strong performers who show initiative and competence may be considered for future opportunities at Ivanplats.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, you must have:
- Grade 12 / Matric or an equivalent qualification
It’s an advantage if you have:
- Up to 2 years of relevant work experience
- Previous exposure to a mining environment
- A technical or vocational qualification above Grade 12
Additional Details
- The programme runs for a maximum of 90 days
- Trainees will receive a stipend during the training period
- Performance and competency will determine any future opportunities
- Internal employees are also encouraged to apply if they wish to change career paths
- Shortlisted candidates will undergo an LPCat Assessment
