About the Learnership

Guardrisk, a division of Momentum Metropolitan Holdings, is giving unemployed South African youth the chance to start their careers in the insurance and financial services industry through a 12-month Learnership Programme.

The programme provides both theoretical training and on-the-job experience, helping learners gain a recognised qualification and valuable workplace skills.

Upon completion, learners will achieve a Short Term and Long Term Insurance NQF Level 4 qualification, accredited by INSETA and SAQA.

While permanent employment isn’t guaranteed, this opportunity opens the door to career paths in:

  • Claims
  • Operations
  • Client Services

What the Programme Offers

  • 12 months of structured learning and hands-on work experience
  • A monthly stipend of R6,500
  • An INSETA-accredited qualification
  • Exposure to real industry work and mentorship

Minimum Requirements

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Have a Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 certificate
  • Have passed:
    • Pure Maths with at least 60%, or
    • Maths Literacy with at least 70%
    • English with at least 65%
  • Be unemployed and not currently studying
  • Be between 18 and 30 years old
  • Never participated in a learnership before

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend classes and complete all practical training tasks
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of Guardrisk’s products and operations
  • Keep a portfolio of evidence and work logbook for SETA
  • Manage client queries and service requests professionally
  • Build relationships with clients and team members
  • Maintain high standards of communication, accuracy, and integrity
  • Take part in assessments and feedback sessions
  • Support process improvements and operational efficiency
