GIBB (YES) Learnership Programme 2025

Youth unemployment is one of South Africa’s biggest challenges. To help address this, GIBB Engineering Group has teamed up with the national Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme. This initiative provides young people with the opportunity to gain real-world workplace experience, acquire practical skills, and earn an income while preparing for a long-term career.

What is the YES Programme?

The YES Programme is a partnership between the government and the private sector aimed at creating job opportunities for unemployed youth. It’s not just training about giving young people meaningful work experience that makes them more employable and ready for the job market.

Through GIBB, a leading engineering and infrastructure company, participants will get access to structured learnerships in different fields.

Available Learnerships

Opportunities are open to graduates with the following qualifications:

  • Business Administration / Project Management / IT / Finance / Supply Chain
    • National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Electrical Engineering
    • National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (Heavy Current or Light Current)
  • Civil Engineering
    • National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Mechanical Engineering
    • GIBB Engineering Group

These programmes are designed to blend theory with practical, on-the-job experience.
