About the Programme

The Centre for Entrepreneurship (CfE) at the University of Johannesburg (UJ), in partnership with the Small Enterprise Development and Finance Agency (SEFDA), is inviting young entrepreneurs to apply for the UJ-SEDFA Rapid Incubator Hackathon.

This programme is designed to empower youth in the ICT and digital technology space, providing support in:

  • Skills development
  • Mentorship
  • Access to resources
  • Market opportunities

Who Can Apply?

To qualify, you must:

  • Be 18 – 35 years old
  • Be tech-savvy and interested in digital solutions
  • Live in Soweto or the surrounding areas
  • Hold a tertiary qualification (NQF Level 5 and above)

What to Expect on the Day

  • Finalists will pitch their best solutions to a judging panel

No prototype required — the focus is on creativity, teamwork, and showing how tech can solve real problems.
