About the Learnership

iMasFinance Co-operative (Ltd), an authorised financial services provider, is offering a 12-month Debt Recovery Learnership for young South Africans looking to gain practical experience in the financial services industry.

This opportunity combines classroom learning with real workplace experience, helping you build the skills needed to work in collections, credit control, and debt recovery. You’ll also earn an NQF Level 4 qualification during the programme.


What You’ll Learn

You’ll get exposure to key areas such as:

  • Contacting clients in arrears and securing payment commitments
  • Managing correspondence and queries related to collections
  • Recording member details and tracking payment activity
  • Supporting legal handovers, repossessions, and documentation
  • Working with attorneys, tracers, sheriffs, and other stakeholders
  • Assisting with payment processing and portfolio management
  • Maintaining professional communication and progress reports

Who Can Apply

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Have Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and/or Accounting
  • Be unemployed and not studying
  • Be previously disadvantaged youth
  • Be available to start in November 2025
  • Have strong communication skills and attention to detail
